Privacy Policy

Effective October 2, 2026

[LEGAL BUSINESS NAME] (“FratPass”, “we”) runs a verified-entry service for Greek-life events: students claim passes, chapter officers publish events, and door staff scan passes. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Who can use FratPass

FratPass is for people who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 and we do not market to children. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at [PRIVACY EMAIL] and we will delete it.

What we collect

Students:

  • Full name, campus email address, school and graduation year — to create and verify your account.
  • A password, stored only as a salted hash — never in readable form.
  • A mobile phone number, only if you choose to add one (it is optional and you can skip it).
  • Passes you claim, friend connections you make, and organization invitations you answer.

Chapter and sorority officers: officer and member email addresses, chapter or sorority name, and billing status for the chapter subscription.

Door scans: when staff scan a pass we record that the pass was checked, the event, and the result, so an event can count entries and stop a pass being reused.

Technical data: a sign-in session token stored on your device, and basic usage events only if you accept analytics (see our Cookie Policy).

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, government ID, or payment card numbers. The scanner uses the camera only to read pass QR codes, and images are not saved.

How we use it

  • Verify you are a student and keep your account secure (one-time codes, sign-in, rate limits).
  • Issue, rotate and check event passes at the door.
  • Let officers manage events, guest lists and members.
  • Send service emails and texts you need, such as verification codes and organization invitations.
  • Process chapter subscriptions and keep the service running and safe.
  • Measure basic usage to improve the product — only with your consent.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run FratPass, under their own privacy terms:

  • Base44 — application hosting, database, authentication, email delivery and analytics.
  • Stripe — chapter subscription payments. Stripe handles card details; we never see or store them.
  • Google — only if you choose 'Continue with Google' sign-in. Our fonts are self-hosted, so ordinary page loads do not contact Google.
  • A text-message provider — only to send a phone verification code if you add a phone number.

Within FratPass, a chapter’s officers can see guest lists for their own events, and an organization’s name appears beside your profile only after you accept its invitation. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect people’s safety.

How long we keep it

We keep your account while it is open. When you delete your account we remove your profile, claimed passes, friend connections, verified phone number and sign-in sessions. Records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons (for example billing records) are kept only as long as required.

Your choices and rights

  • Access, correct or delete your data — you can delete your account any time from the top bar of the app, or use the steps on our Your Data page.
  • Withdraw consent for analytics at any time with Cookie settings in the footer.
  • Skip adding a phone number; it is not required to use FratPass.
  • Opt out of invitation emails by contacting us at the address below.
  • Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights such as portability and the right to appeal a decision. We honor these requests for all users.

Make a request on our Your Data page or email [PRIVACY EMAIL]. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

Passwords are hashed, one-time codes expire and are rate-limited, passes rotate every 15 seconds, and data is transmitted over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Changes

If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
